  • This release was originally popular for the disco-ish 'Seconds of your love' which went down well on the blue-eyed soul scene in the suburbs. However, for 'London's more urban black music scene it was the B-side mid-tempo soul stepper 'Shoot for the stars' that turned out to be one of the biggest soul tracks of the 'rare groove' era, not peaking in popularity until 1990-ish when it was near impossible to find the 12 inch or 7 inch, even the compilation it featured on was scarce. It was (and still is) a real ravers favourite and ultimately a track that would feature in many modern soul street DJ's top 10 steppers at the time. Thank you Johnnie :-)
